The owner and operator of Foothills Force Consulting is John Donchig. John has been a law enforcement officer for 20 years and currently works as a police administrator for an agency in Southern California. John has earned multiple instructor certifications in arrest and control, defensive tactics, baton, firearms, patrol rifle, TASER, and in the Orcutt Police Nunchaku, including certifications through the Federal Bureau of Investigation, as well as more than 50 hours of training in use of force investigations. John was his department’s Use of Force Program Administrator for over 10 years, a role which involved developing and submitting training outlines to the California’s Commission on Peace Officers Standards and Training (POST), acting as lead instructor in all use of force and firearms training, and doing departmental use of force reviews. John holds a graduate degree in criminology, a California Police Academy instructor certification, and is a member of the California Force Instructors Association Board of Directors.
